    Frequently Asked Questions

Some questions come up time and again. If you can't find the answer you're looking for, we'd be happy to assist you personally.

    1. For which companies is SAA One Prefab suitable?

The solution was developed specifically for prefabricated component manufacturers and companies in the prefabrication industry that want to make their processes more efficient and transparent. This includes businesses in the concrete, wood, and metal prefabricated construction sectors, as well as companies in modular and industrial construction. Whether it’s manual single-piece production, a semi-automated line, or a fully automated continuous-flow system: One Prefab has a modular design and scales from a single location to a group of plants.

    2. What areas does the platform cover?

One Prefab covers the entire prefabrication process chain—from cost estimation and project planning through production control to warehousing, transportation, and on-site assembly. Added to this is the automation layer: machines, robots, material flow, and conveyor systems are directly integrated and centrally controlled. This creates a seamless flow of data from the initial quote to the finished product.

    3. Can SAA One Prefab be integrated with existing machinery and equipment?

Yes! Open interfaces and third-party systems are part of our daily business. Our systems are built to be vendor-neutral and can be integrated with machines, equipment, CAD, and ERP systems via public APIs and REST, even in mixed environments comprising equipment from different manufacturers and built in different years. Existing equipment does not need to be replaced, and you remain free to choose your suppliers and equipment partners. Always with a focus on a harmonized process.

    4. How can I request a consultation?

The easiest way is to use the contact form on this page or to email us directly at oneprefab@saa.at. Please briefly describe your production process and your specific needs. We’ll get back to you promptly with specific questions. Because operations and system landscapes have evolved over the years and no two companies operate the same way, we deliberately focus on personalized consulting rather than standard packages. In our initial conversation, we’ll clarify your current situation, goals, and possible starting points before discussing the technical aspects.

    5. How much does an implementation cost?

That depends on the scope: which modules you use, how many locations and workstations are involved, and what level of automation you’re aiming for. That’s why we always create customized quotes—based on a joint analysis of your processes and system landscape. Thanks to the modular design, you can start where the benefits are greatest and gradually add other areas.

    6. How can I contact support on the weekend?

Our standard hotline is available Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (CET/CEST). For systems with a Premium agreement, we are available 24/7, including weekends, in German and English. This on-call service is subject to a fee because it involves actual staff schedules and people. And yet, if your production comes to a standstill, we’ll help you—even without a Premium contract! A professionally staffed hotline is the exception in our industry; for us, it’s the standard. You can reach us at +43 1 641 42 47 800, including remote diagnostics directly at your facility if needed.

    7. Can existing facilities be modernized?

Yes! Modernization is our specialty. We inspect existing control systems, electrical engineering, and software, and—regardless of the system’s age—develop a suitable modernization plan that is implemented in stages with minimal downtime, or even while the system is still in operation. In doing so, we pay particular attention to the long-term availability of replacement parts and compliance with all safety-related requirements. This allows you to extend the service life of your investment instead of having to replace the entire system.
